Mastercard at the launch of Project Destined in Los Angeles

Mastercard was proud to co-sponsor the Los Angeles launch of non-profit Project Destined, which offers a real estate-based education program focused on empowering underserved communities through training in financial literacy, total health and leadership development. In addition to its newest launch in Los Angeles, Project Destined has activated its program in several major cities including Detroit, Miami, New York City (Bronx) and Memphis.

Project Destined scholars gain exposure to all aspects of the real estate investment life cycle, including networking with industry professionals, analyzing real-life opportunities and helping to invest capital within their own communities.

The inaugural class of Los Angeles scholars used the business concepts and real estate fundamentals to analyze real deals in their community and presented their ideas in a competition for scholarship prizes. Mastercard’s Nichole Francis Reynolds served as a coach for the program and gave brief remarks to the students.

Mastercard looks forward to continuing to support Project Destined in their mission of transforming minority youth into owners and stakeholders in the communities in which they live, work and play.
